There are several types of guided linear modules available. DM guides, which can be designed with either a moving stator or moving slider (shaft), are preferred for shorter stroke applications. FM and EM guides, on the other hand, are used as moving stator applications on a fixed guided shaft and can achieve very long stroke lengths.
EM Guides stand out in high-load applications thanks to their robust bearing structure, while FM guides are preferred in applications with lower weight and inertia.
DM Guides are ideal for short-stroke linear applications, offering low mechanical requirements and fast commissioning. With the integrated Force Sensor option, they provide solutions for highly precise closed-loop force control applications. Additionally, with the Absolute Position Sensor option, they enable position feedback and control with up to 1-micron accuracy.
